AVEM Bowl ???
« on: May 25, 2012, 05:21:34 AM »
Hi there:

I think I got this before Xmas here and *only* getting to posting it now.  Am I behind....yes!!
   ;D

I am thinking this is AVEM.  Now is it what they call Tutti Frutti? I like the orange color on the inside as it is such a blast of Color.  Either a bowl or a big ashtray......LOL.  Who knows what it is as Ashtray were big size then too.  Has 2 folded edges, and the base is polished with wear.  My guess  :-\ would be AVEM ?? and I am thinking maybe around the 1960's era -- as a guess here ??

It is:

~ 9 inches in length
~ 7.50 inches wide
~ 2.75 inches tall
~ Weights 2.14 pounds

Thanks for any info  :-*

I don't think it is AVeM antique. Could it be JI Co.? Or Fratelli? Someone who is more familar with these might be able to help. I am more familar with just AVeM pieces.

I think the AVeM ones are a bit "fruitier", Rose.  ;)
Similar to this, but with many more canes.

Hi - I think A.V.e.M bowls have latticino (zanfirico) as well as being denser in decoration. At least mine do in general.
