« on: May 29, 2012, 06:59:35 PM »
Hi all you kind and informative people on GMB
Can anyone help me with an ID for this glass , I have this flared mouth vase in a smokey blue glass , it has a bulbous body and a distinct ribbed design pattern around the vase , standing at 7" high , the base has a spoke pattern which is hard to see on the photo's . I will thank you all now for any replies I receive about this glass vase . Thank You Roy

Wonder if this could possibly be Wedgewood Glass.....the shape does look familiar.

Just found this one, looks similar, although not 100% sure the ribbing is exactly the same or not when comparing the photos, certainly similar...

Yes Wedgwood and designed by Frank Thrower in around 1983 or 84, called a Ming vase, made in three sizes in clear and midnight, plain and optic. Pattern no FJT43. Info from Dartington Glass The First Twenty Years by Linda and Stuart Smithson.
