A ‘’Junior Miss’ clear glass trinket set with tray, pots and ringholder as in my first post, but this time with tall ‘stick’ candlesticks (hexagonal in section, 16.1cm tall, and the base 6.2mm across the flats).

Also a part frosted blue set with tall candlesticks.

Small Frosted blue trinket set ..Child's??
« Reply #12 on: February 05, 2014, 07:05:02 PM »
I found this sweet part set in a Charity shop this morning. I have seen them on Ebay before but never realised how small it is. Were sets made for little girls ? I have pictured it with a Davidson candlestick to give some idea of scale...any idea's of maker?

Angela, here has already been a discussion on the GMB about these small trinket sets showing them in clear, frosted blue and pink glass.

Still no attribution though as far as I am aware.

Because of their small size, I think basically that they are to be regarded as ‘Junior Miss’ sets specifically made for ‘tweenage’ – and young teenage girls in imitation of the larger sets that their mothers presumably had.

I can now add an amber set to the colour variants.
(Permission for the re-use of this image on the GMB granted by eral123.2013).

Any more colour variants, please?

Fred.

Looking for an ID for this set I was struck by the similarities between the small pot in this set and the small pot in another unidentified set so called the Eygptian set....

Streit 1913 catalogue offered pressed glass toys 'Spielzeug' see also next two pages
Candlestick holders measure 9 to 11 cms only  :)

Angela, I see the similarities also - the 'Egyptian' set is Czechoslovaquia, but maker unknown.

I agree Simba and I mentioned it here in the "Egyptian" Set thread in 2017:
