Perthshire generally has very crisp and detailed canes in a precise set up. Some of the details can only be seen with a strong magnifying glass or a jeweler's loupe. In their general range pieces they used a lot of eight pointed canes, very crisp and neat. The first time I saw one I was boggled with how perfect it was compared to the Italian and Chinese weights I was accustomed to. Their earlier weights were slightly more irregular. This is a pic of two general range weights.
I collect Scottish and Italian paperweights and anything else that strikes my fancy.
