My favourite Monart colour scheme in this vase with some roses from the garden, it's good to actually use the vase for what it was intended for.

Looks gorgeous but many vases were made as display pieces in themselves, not just to be used for flowers :)
I do use some of mine, but not the expensive ones!

I really cant comment on other glassmakers, but in Monart case, vases were made and sold for the use of flowers ect and not just for display. The first photo is from the British Industries Fair at Olympia in London circa 1930s the second  photo is from J Moncrieff advertisement materail circa 1920s.
