green glass trinket set
« on: February 19, 2014, 12:43:54 PM »
Any help with this would be very gratefully received - the tray seems very distinctive, but I've had no luck in identifying it online or in my books. Didn't find it, even on the very excellent http://www.glasstrinketsets.com/

Dimensions: tray – width 11″ (28.5cm) x depth 8″ (20cm); ring holder – diameter 3″ (8cm) x  height 3″ (7.5cm); two small trinket dishes – diameter 3.5″ (9cm) x  height .5″ (9cm), without lid – 1.25″ (3cm); larger dish with lid – diameter 4″ (10.5cm) x  height 4.5″ (12cm), without lid – 2″ (5cm)

I believe this set is a marriage, the tray is usually seen with different pots that have the same square pattern in the base. I have seen pics of the pots with Czech labels, and also told the tray is Czech but cannot verify.

Can we move this to Trinket Sets please mods? :)

Welcome to the GMB, alicesroom.

I agree that the set in the initial post is a marriage.

For permanent reference, I attach a photos of the tray in blue glass with some known matching acessories
(permission for the re-use of this image on the GMB granted by bazza131313)
and a photo of some matching accesories in amber glass
(permission for the re-use of this image on the GMB granted by Sean Jackson).

A clear example of a candlestick that would normally go with the tray is shown as Mystery set 32 on Anne's GTS site at

Here is a pic of the large trinket pot showing the base pattern which clearly matches the tray pattern. Unfortunately the pot lid has a chip to the top of the finial.

Many thanks all for that incredibly helpful information. Looking at the pieces, I'm not surprised to hear it. Will do a little more digging and try to find what tray should go with the bowls etc.
Thanks again!!
