Info on Boda Bowl
« on: March 26, 2006, 05:27:29 PM »
Bought this Boda bowl today which appears to be by Ulrica Vallien, fully signed to the base as follows:-
Boda UHV
UV 51732
Ulrica

Can anyone help date this for me and also let me know if these had a pattern name. It measures 6.5inches across the top and is 3.5 inches deep.

If you don't get any information, then Bill Geary is the person to ask...I'm sure you know that though.     I did look thru his book 'Creative Energies' but it's not there.   :(

Thanks Max as this is not my field at all I wasn't sure who the real experts are, I've tried all the usual sources google, millers etc, but I think this could be 1980's judging by the wear to the base, but it was cheap and just cried out to be taken home.

Your bowl was called "Boda Tintomara" and was designed by
Bertil Vallien and not his wife Ulrica.

Thanks Bill I wonder in that case as it's signed by Ulrica if it may be a later production? Just a thought.
