Dreadful news Tony, I have only been there twice,  but felt it was one of the most attractive venues I have ever been to and truly inspired my love for glass collecting.
Why would anyone want to destroy such a beautiful building.......it makes me doubly glad that I took the pictures I did on my last visit.

I found this picture of the great hall at Cambridge 2012 and as it shows one of the large paintings that Sue had referred to,  I thought you might like to add it here for posterity.
