Edward Moore lidded bowl - RD.88124
« on: June 23, 2012, 05:48:27 PM »
Thought I'd share this lovely Edward Moore piece, complete with its lid.  Both the lid and the bowl are marked RD.88124 (29th November 1887).  I've only ever seen this minus its lid previously, so its nice to find one complete  :)

However, I do have a query.  The bowl has the hobnail pattern on the outside, whereas the lid has the pattern on the interior and has a smooth exterior.   Can anyone tell me why please?
