Something new from Mike Hunter of Twists Glass
« on: March 19, 2006, 04:15:01 PM »
This morning at Woking Glass Fair we picked up this new weight by Mike Hunter of Twists Glass.  http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/displayimage.php?pos=-1298 It's a Torsade weight, commissioned by Brian Slater of Just Glass.

Brian apparently asked Mike if he would try to put the twists he uses in his famous wine glass stems into a paperweight, and this is what Mike came up with!

Stunning, isn't it?   :D

Hi Leni
Interested to see your Mike Hunter weight. I visited him and Sue last week and came away with four very unusual paperweights you won't have seen the like of before. Here is a picture of a Tri-Lattice weight - what do you think of this ? http://i1.tinypic.com/sffe3b.jpg
