Thanks very much for digging into this item with me i guess my use of vaseline isnt spot on with these, I have no means to test at present but imagine they are uranium content and would glow, It does sit quite nicely too that they are a stuart model they seem very much similar too Keith's lovely vase hoping to sell on on ebay but with prices depressed not too sure.. I realise glass messages isnt the antiques raodshow but would an estimate of £100=£150 for the two vases in mint condition seem reasonable??

Hello,

Vaseline has indeed been used to desribe the colour effect over the years. It's changing/ed because of the tendancy nowadays to apply it to the use of Uranium - mainly come over from the USA. Opalescent is now becoming the word referring to the colour as you suggest Paul. Stuart - yes ;)
