SELLING MOST OF MY WHITEFRIARS COLLECTION
« on: July 03, 2012, 07:57:17 PM »
I am planning to emigrate within the next year, so am selling most of my collection of Whitefriars and other glass.

Here's a link to some of it on the Whitefriars forum

http://www.whitefriars.com/bb_orig/viewtopic.php?t=4885

This is just a small part of my collection, so if there is anything you are particularly wanting or needing then please do get in touch and ask if I have it.

I am also selling a load of West German Pottery, some of it is very rare(and expensive), but most is relatively inexpensive

Here's  a link to my Photobucket album for the pottery

I will always be part of the glass scene, so you will not be getting rid of me for ever,(sorry!) as I will continue to contribute to all my favourite forums if I can be helpful.

Anyway, actual departure is some way off yet, but as I have so much stuff, I feel I have to make a start and
not leave everything until I run out of time.  You just cannot believe how difficult it is to part with it all, but having already sold some items through the W/F forum, it seems to be getting a tad easier.!

Emmi, I don't know whether I should feel happy for you, or terribly sad.  :-\

I hope all your glass finds good and appreciative homes, and that your own relocation is a happy one.
x

Thanks you two - Fuerteventura, Canary Islands is the ultimate destination - but it will be a while yet.  Have the house there already, but a lot to sort out here in the UK first, and unfortunately my collections are so huge, I have to start sooner rather than later.  Quite an emotional time for me actually, but at the same time strangely "liberating". :-\

Oh Emmi, I'm sure you're feeling a whole mess of emotions... but your move sounds divine. Ultimately, everything will be OK.  :)
