Not a pattern I'm familiar with,proportions are the same as the 3 inch vases,some overlap on the pattern edges ;D ;D

Congratulations, you've just found one of the rare test pieces! (green = envy)

These were produced in very small quantities to assess their viability. This pattern was (obviously) abandoned and the few remaining were sold through the company shop, or direct to employees.

Very unusual to see one of these surface!

It really fitted into that era (late 1970s to early 1980s?) when the Laura Ashley florals and chintz were all the rage so I'm of the opposite view and wonder why they didn't keep it.

There are other examples that 'missed the cut' that I've come across. The odd handkerchief vase in this type of pattern has been sold on eBay and always fetches a good price. Even the vile (IMHO) Cameo pattern (p.108, Chance Expressions) reached a price that was unreal.
