Walther Viktoria Comport
« on: April 07, 2012, 08:50:30 AM »
My first post, so bear with me if attachments do not appear.
Last week I managed to acquire, what I believe to be, the base of a blue satin Walther Viktoria comport, as seen on page 036 in the 1953 Sachsenglas catalogue. It was being sold as a blue candlestick, here in Melbourne.
If anybody has the peg bowl that would help me complete this set I would love to hear from them.
I, hopefully, have attached 2 photos of the base that others might like to confirm for me, or inform me that I am wrong.
Pamela would love to hear your opinion on this piece
Thanks, Neil

Hello Neil and welcome to GMB! Glad you've joined.
That is beautiful and I do appreciate to finally see a real Viktoria for the first time! The matching pegged bowl will be difficult to find, I'm afraid.
Give my regards to Diane, please  :-*

Hi there
I have attached a blue Diana bowl on top of the blue Viktoria bowl and I personally think it's a good match?
Best wishes Nige
