Liam Carey Glass paperweight Merlin / liskeard glass

Just acquired this paperweight by Liam Carey not sure if it was when it was liskeard glass or after he bought it and changed its name to Merlin glass.
are these weights actually made with 24c gold.
a very nice weight and made be an accomplished artist
there is always someone worse off .

I had a very similar piece recently, but with some blue colour in it too, that carried a Merlin Glass label on the base - so I suspect yours is a Merlin Glass piece.

There are some other threads on the Board which discuss Merlin Glass, and at least one has a post with the url for the company.

i have read some of the posts and looked at the website. but have they stopped making paperweights as i can not see any on there website.

They may not be making paperweigfhts as such (although doorknobs are similar), but an email via the website might provide all the info you are looking for.
