A clear pressed glass lidded trinket pot.
Anne shows just the base on GTS as Mystery Set 17:

The matching lid has a large, ribbed, fan-shaped finial.

These just have to be the matching GTS Mystery Set 17 candlesticks, don't they?

I missed your November post about these Fred. Mine is very small, so I'm thinking pin tray rather than pot base, but yes the same pattern for sure, and a match for the candlesticks.

Now a set with tray and pin tray. Any nearer to an ID, now?

Yes! We are now, thanks to Pamela and Dieter... excepting the tray shown above, these are in the Ernst Buder 1960 catalogue Pamela has just added to glas-musterbuch.de.
POTS, PERFUME, ATOMISER & TRAY
Pattern 57
CANDLESTICK
Pattern 355
The tray is not shown in the Buder catalogue, so I'm assuming a marriage.
