unknown trinket tray - ID = Ernst Buder pattern #830
« on: July 10, 2012, 07:56:38 PM »
I'm spending a lot of time finding id's for the drinking glasses etc., so might not get around to putting a name to these trays for some long time.               In view of this have decided to post pix (all trays) which others may find useful (or not) - and feel free to use these images for private use if anyone wishes.          If the mods. feel there are too many items, or they are not of use at the moment, please remove/delete as necessary.    I think there are six separate items.           Of course, feel free to comment if you wish. :)

P.S.   On this particular tray, some hand cutting has been added - in fact all of the finer lines, strawberry diamonds and small stars are additional to the main design - whether this might mean it has less of an interest to trinket collectors, I'm not sure.    In fact the moulding on this tray is so good that at first I thought the entire design had been produced by cutting, and even now I'm not really sure.

Very pretty Paul, not one I recognise and I had a little look around at some patterns but can't see a match yet. Thanks for the offer to use the pic, I may take you up on that. :)

P.S. There can never be too many pics of trinket items!!! :D

thanks for looking Jayne  -  it seems that for the trinket site I need to down size even further than the usualy 700 - so what is the max. that I can attach at - is it 500 (as I've down for this item) or can I go higher?          Unfortunately, partly due to the glare and down size on this one, the detailed cutting that I mentioned can't really be seen, which is a shame.
Five more to come.  :)

Paul a listing here with a very similar/same tray as yours. You may be interested to see the pot and sticks although I can't say if they are a match.

This is the German Ernst Buder one I found Paul. 1960 Catalogue, pattern No 830, Bleikristall Handgeschliffen (Lead Crystal Hand Cut)

They also have the same design in what I assume is their pressed glass section, with a little less detail maybe? Pattern 203
