Kosta Boda vase?
« on: July 16, 2012, 11:41:33 AM »
I'm guessing it's Boda but I would like to know exactly , there's no markings but a nice flat ground base and excellent quality, it's about 200 years to new for my taste so if anyone wants it please let me know

Just had a nose through Jindrich's Chribska catalogues but did not spot it. It does looks Czech, it could well be by another maker, Mstisov perhaps or Skrdlovice. Can't place that particular colour combo, would you describe it as green and lilac or green and blue?

I believe it's ZBS.

I would support Czech and ZBS (looks like Neodymium?), although the shape is quite unusual...

There is a citrin and virginit one at my local market (very ZBS colours).  There is also a slightly sleeker pink labeled one on aukro: Zelezny Brod lobed vase

its green/blue with lilac/violet base and rope trail 195 mm tall the colour combination interacts very well ,I was leaning to Boda because of the colour but Czech fits, it wouldn't surprise me if the makers still with us

I was trying to remember the name of another Czech glassworks that produced hot worked items like this and ZBS (or Zelezny Brod) was it.  ::)
I did not know they used this colour combination and I had not seen or noticed this particular design before so it is good to see yours.

Thanks for adding the size too, always useful for reference.
