meant to say personal opinion was that the wheel engraving looks perhaps non-British (too florid?) - so maybe Bohemian, Czech, German areas $:-\$

Thanks Paul, just what I was thinking,most British pewter has some sort of mark,another of my collection habits

,I thought it worth the few pounds it cost a little washing up liquid and an old toothbrush cleaned it up a treat
