Czech - ZBS, Chribska?
« on: July 18, 2012, 02:13:09 PM »
Now I am sure this is Czech but not sure of factory - I have looked at ZBS and Chribska but it could be a number of factories - 6.25" high sculptural glass with beautiful green fading to lilac at top. Any help welcomed.

Thanks Adam

Hi Adam.  It has to be Skrdlovice.  I'm sure someone will have more info such as designer, pattern number etc.  Try it under UV, the green will probably glow  ;)

Thanks Wayne. I'm new to Czech glass. I have a small Sklo Union collection. Looked at Skrdlovice and that seems as likely.

Thanks Adam

Wayne is right that this is most probably Skrdlovice...
Chribska made a very similar range in the late 1950s though: >> Link to CGR on Jindrich's site

Back home now and checking my books there is an almost identical piece in J Miller 2012-13 collectables pp200 Skrdlovice Jan Beranek shape 6239 made in 1962 - the height is the same as well.
