Large Barbini Paperweight
« on: July 21, 2012, 10:45:17 AM »
Not sure if this should be in paperweights or Murano - large clear glass weight with bubbles, 3.5" diam - etched Barbini Murano to bottom side - any idea on date as I can't find anything too similar on net or in my books.

Thanks Adam

Have looked on eBay USA and there are clear glass signed Barbini - exact same signature - dating from 60s 70s. Any further info welcomed.

I may be able to help. Barbini began signing things on the side like this in the 1980s. They are still signed this way. The paperweight looks like a 1980s or later work to me, which agrees with the signature.
