Sowerby I think. It's not a centrepiece; it's for grapes or salad and should have an underplate to catch the drips

Interesting, I did not know such things existed, what a clever idea! Thank-you. Now to look for the underplate, if anyone has a pic of the two together that would be great. :)

It's Sowerby after all. Sowerby describes its holey bowl and underplate as a cress set, but it's different

Very similar to Hortensja, Poland 1937 stronica (page) c15 - Salaterki na nózkach (footed bowl) # 270 a

This pattern book came with PK 2007-3 and was contributed by Thistlewood/Ross. Glen, could you have a look, please?

Christine your last post is confusing, it is or is not Sowerby? I found a Sowerby Cress Set bowl only, and a Jobling Cress Set, neither anything like this one which reminds me of some Stolzle (Stoelzle?) (Stoelzl?) items.

If you'd asked me 11 months ago I might have remembered what I really meant!  I think I meant it's not Sowerby after all. The shade of green is wrong for Stolzle IMHO

I didn't think time constraints were important to getting answers to research on the board, newbies are constantly reminded to be patient! I agree that you made a typo and it's probably NOT a Sowerby piece. I'm not sure that ruling out a maker based on colour in a few photos alone is totally sensible, the colour in the pics is in bright sunlight outdoors. I will upload another pic where the green looks rather different.
