Seguso Vetri d'Arte Amber Kangaroo - Label
« on: July 29, 2012, 02:49:58 AM »
Picked this one up recently. A Seguso Vetri d'Arte amber Kangaroo. Still has most of the label but unfortunately no model number. She weighs a good 1880 grams and is 23cm tall. My real glass animal and it is in mint condition. Not a blemish. ;D

Beware Kane, you will become hooked!
Firstly you will want another one to keep it company, then you will think, 'well, what about a wombat... and a Kiwi,... and a Koala!'
Then 'well  what is on the other side of the world?
Lions,... elephants,... dogs,... cats,... zebras,... hippos, and rhinos.....don't say you weren't warned!!

I haven't got a Kangaroo.......yet!!

I'm a sucker for animals, too. Nice find. Never seen a Murano kangaroo, and from a respected brand is a nice bonus!  You need to email the people who are doing the Segusa VA book, because this is undoubtedly a rare item.  Now we need to track down that elusive glass wombat... ;)

Ha ha rosieposie, I will try to refrain from going mad with collecting every known animal on earth. Although Flavio Poli did do a beautiful dinosaur piece which I am keeping an eye out on if one should pop up.

Oddly, this is the fourth SVdA Kangaroo piece I have seen this year (so maybe my amber one will get a companion if it is in a different colour ;)). Thankfully this one was in OZ so I decided to keep it here. Although, I was the only bidder as it wasn't listed very well so I don't think many people saw it. Good for me though as I absolutely adore it. I have it next to my Kangaroo Paw plant.

As for the possum...very nice and I love the green colour, but need to eat till I get paid again!

Although, if a beautiful glass snake piece came up, I would gladly eat 2 min noodles for a few weeks LOL

Amazing rosieposie, he has done the snakes really well! And the Frogs are amazing!

Unfortunately, it isn't Murano LOL! His stuff though does have an Australiana feel to it.

It has to be Murano for me though! :)
