The red and black is gorgeous but have you actually seen a yellow piece in real life?  they are utterly stunning.  Somewhere on the board Craig has a yellow decanter.  I also had a lavender blue decanter set but sold it as I couldnt' make it fit in with any of my collections.  The colour was superb but just not 'my' colour.
Oops so sorry Jayne - our posts crossed and my question was directed at Mel.  Thanks for your comments though :)
Thanks all for your nice comments :)  Keith they sit well with my coloured art deco Bohemian pieces, but they are completely different in construction and to hold in the hand.
I love them for lots of reasons:  They are dense glass and very heavy; the aventurine is amazing, perfectly glittery; and I think they were innovative designs and construction - I've not seen anything like them from elsewhere.

funny isn't it, I can't stand yellow flowers but all of my glass displays have a piece of yellow  in them.

And trinny and susannah (some self-appointed reality show "style-gurus") have been known to say that you should never, ever put red and black together.....
so you know for sure it's both excellent taste and timeless style.  ;D
