Is this a Jurnikl vase? - ID = Jiri Brabec for Rosice
« on: August 07, 2012, 08:47:11 AM »
Hello

I'm much more au-fait with British & Scandinavian glass, but picked this up at the weekend.
It's a lovely amethyst colour.
I have found similar looking pieces by Jurnikl, but not this shape and pattern.
Can anyone help me identify the designer/ maker please?

It's 18cm tall and the rhomboid shaped top measures 9 x 7cm

Hi Robert,

Looks like 'Rosice Glassworks amethyst vase no.5122/18 designed by Jiri Brabec, produced from 1972.'

Reference page 73, Mark Hill Hi Sklo Lo Sklo.

These are gorgeous vases and a fantastic shape.
