water jug & glasses - ID help appreciated

morning  :)

I'm trying to pin down this set to a maker / time frame if possible. From conversation with vendor it should date to 40's / 50's but I usually have a large pinch of salt to hand.

Jug is tall, 11 inches & narrow, 2.75 inches wide. nice pinched ice lip and a striking top unattached handle. silvered & embossed decoration and the lines & drops which I originally thought were entched into the glass on closer inspection are raised. Base is flat not ground and polished - rather, it looks mould blown.

glasses x 6 same raised pattern and applied metal foil flower band. Bird bath type concave base

any ideas?

cheers
Mel
