a marking on a 4 1/2" cut glass sugar bowl

The marking is a "G" with a scepter vertically through it. Can anyone identify this marking? ty.

Is it an "I" superimposed on a G for Imperial Glass?

A photo of the mark and object is required if you are absolutely sure that it isn't Imperial.
