This pressed glass item looks perfectly normal. Those panels are stippled in low relief because there was a reverse pattern in the mould. When you use water, there is just enough surface tension in the water to make the panels appear fully transparent. When you wipe it dry, does that stippling magically reappear? It's all physics!

Are you referring to the white cloudy patches? Are they inside the piece?
It could be water-staining. Difficult to deal with! For the sake of display, silicon or baby oil on the marks should disguise them.

We're only being shown the outside, so I'm guessing itis indeed the panels that are being referred to, so I'm fully with James on this one.

It's the white spots on the textured bits that are the problem; I would guess emulsion paint smears.

Hi Guys n girls  ;D
I'm sorry i was so happy to get the photo's up i did not explain much.

It is indeed on the outside, does not go through to the inside,it dissapears when washed only to return.
The best way i can discribe it is like a mould, not paint splatters & not a water mark to be seen.
Only shows on the textured design not the smooth, should i try turps or such, was too scared untill you peoples had a look.

I'm guessing art deco,cezch????
Thanks heaps,kat
