Very small 1 3/4" wide by 3/4"high, pretty canes mostly made up of star shapes - I like the green surround wth the yellow interiors ones.  The blue with white interiors are also star shaped as are the yellow ones surrounding the middle red and white one with a green centre.
My photo makes it look as though the canes fill the dome but really they are laid in a tight circle on the base with clear glass above - it's come out as a weird optical illusion.
The base isn't rough but it's sort of 'roughly' firepolished, so not ground or polished flat or anything.
Thank you  for any help :)

Ah..found one with red with white star canes under Chinese on Alan's site so I guess that's  a yes :)

:) thanks Kev - I like these, mostly only if they have very little yellow in them as I find it quite a garish colour.  However I've not seen one with the star canes in green with yellow middles before.

Here is a quick shot of 11 Chinese close concentrics from the 1930 - 1960 period, showing a diverse range of colour ways amongst the canes. There is a somewhat higher resolution version on the 'Older Chinese' page of my website.
