Bedside Carafe or Vase??
« on: August 22, 2012, 04:42:20 PM »
Found this lovely engraved piece recently which I cannot decide whether it is a vase or bedside carafe.  Had a mooch around the net and surprisingly found something so very very near to the pattern.  Unfortunately only the image was available to copy as the owner of the website sold it and removed it's description, so I am no nearer as to it's ID.  Anyone please?

It's a vase and it's needle etched by machine not engraved. A carafe would have a straight neck for the glass to go over.

Also you aren't allowed to post other peoples pictures for copyright reasons. Perhaps report yourself to a moderator  ;D

That doesn't matter - we err on the side of caution. Copyright laws have a habit of sneaking up behind you and biting your bum!

As Christine said - you need to go and "report yoursel" to a moderator. (this makes me think of  being a snotty nosed kid in school uniform with grubby knees  ;D )
There's a box to click on at the bottom right of your post, for reporting to a mod.
A wee box will come up and you type in the problem, briefly.
