Caithness second or not?
« on: August 28, 2012, 08:48:56 AM »
I have checked the whole of the Scotlands glass Caithnesss section and cannot find this weight. It is of course marked C11G but I see litltle wrong with it, but without seeing the coreect version if there is one it's hard to tell.
Does anyone recognise it or is it a trial piece?
It is 55mm in diameter.

Many thanks
Nick

Hi Nick.  It looks to me very like the Caithness 'Mini Forget-me-Not', issued in 1990.  The piece was sold with a top facet - I guess this was not facetted as it is a second.

Hi Alan
Thanks I had overlooked this one as I was not looking at faceted weights.

Nick
