Willy Steinlin design
« on: August 28, 2012, 10:32:20 AM »
Willy Steinlin (St.Gallen, Switzerland) was mainly working in pottery, but also has designed several glass items. His Olma Cow (as a butter dish) has already been discussed here.
Another one of his glass designs is the Owl - like the Olma Cow used for several items. Right now there is a pendant on ebay - the seller has provided me with an improved image for this board (below). There is also a 30 cm diameter cake plate on ricardo, made by Glasi Hergiswil (but no longer available there).

As for the "pendant" - I am not quite sure if that is the correct translation: far too heavy to carry it around your neck: it is meant to be displayed in a window.
Wolf Seelentag, St.Gallen
