Victorian uranium glass piano insulator
« on: August 28, 2012, 08:11:02 PM »
A nice uranium glass piano insulator RD 87140, thought it be an easy one to look up but does not seem to be listed .

I would be guessing Percival Vickers ,  Molineaux Webb or John Derbyshire.

I be interested if anyone knows the maker

Thanks Roy

Hi Roy
Rd 87149 registered 16/11/1887 by Thomas Dawkins a musical instrument manufacturer and Importer however this pattern seems to be a stand alone design and not copied unlike their first registration which was widely copied, its unclear who manufactured this pattern but it has several similarities with Rd 316413 registered 24/03/1898 by Burtles Tate.
