USSR vase - need information
« on: April 02, 2006, 09:28:01 PM »
Can anyone out there identify
the maker of this vase with the
USSR sticker on the bottom?
Thanks in advance for any
information at all.

This is my Russian glass bookmarks page if it's of any use. Most of the companies listed have online catalogues you could browse through. :)

There are two artists who are known to have used vertical bands of pinched decoration in clear crystal on coloured glass, and both worked for GUS Krushtalny. One is Vladimir Korneyev, the other Sergei Pivovarov. Korneyev was chief designer at GUS since 1968 - so it is not unlikely that was the designer of your vase.
