A daisy paperweight, any idea of maker?
« on: April 05, 2006, 12:55:35 PM »
I won this from Ray, and it's so pretty! If anyone can give me a close as to the maker it would be much appreciated. It's a low dome and has a polished and very indented circular pontil.

That type of base finish does appear on some (apparantly) Murano items.

One that I recall was a 'single fish' weight - with the fish at the top of the dome, lying on its side! I think a similar fish one was discussed in here some time ago (may have been before weights were in a separate forum?).

Out of interest, I'd like to see a full profile veiw of this one.

Those canes Are Murano.

Now is it the Ground that is indented, so to speak, or the actual glass at the pontil area?

Both are indented.
