Dodgy Vasart Signature?
« on: April 03, 2006, 12:29:26 PM »
I have recently acquired this lovely bowl - I thought Vasart on looking at it but when I turned it upside down the signature is very different from the normal cursive version I have seen. Is the signature authentic? Is the bowl authentic? It measures 4 inches high and has a top diameter of 13 and 1/4 inches.

Thank you, Frank, for the reply. Will improve the pics. I had never seen the signature with the "straight" V before, always the fancy curved one which made me a bit suspicious.

Thanks Gary. That is the first time I had seen this version of the signature and panicked. I should trust my instincts as the vase looked absolutely fine.
