Ellesby Ware? where from please?
« on: September 07, 2012, 09:17:13 AM »
Can someone please tell me what country of origin Ellesby Ware is? I have a pair of vases that look Japanese but have this sticker.

Hi, welcome to the GMB!  Any chance of some pics of the vases + label?  It might be a retailer/importer rather than manufacturer.

yes I have pics but I couldn't work out how to put them on here. They seem to be too big.

Photos need to be 125kb or less in size, I find that will equate to an image of about 600 x 400 pixels, you can add four photos per post. Some help on posting photos here: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,6522.0.html

If you have difficulty with it, reply to this topic and ask for help.

John

There's a handy online image resizer which usually gets pics below our limits if you're struggling. Set the sizes to 700 pixels and leave at normal, and see what happens. :) Do shout if you get stuck - we can always help with resizing and uploading - and welcome to to the board. http://www.imageoptimizer.net/Home.aspx

No, sorry, they are too small to see the detail. You need to make the longest size around 700 pixels, the board will auto-create thumbnails for you so you don't need to do that.

I just realised I forgot to include the link to the online image resizer in my last post too (sorry, I was a bit tired!) so have added it now in case you need it. :) http://www.imageoptimizer.net/Home.aspx

You can but we really prefer to have the images on the board for future reference - we have many threads which have lost their usefulness after remotely linked images have been removed. I can lift a copy of your image from Photobucket link and add it here for you if that helps?

Anne thank you, I will include thumbnails from photobucket and you can use them as you see fit. I do appreciate why you need to keep the photos and would love to be able to do it your way but my brain doesn't work well lately.
I hope this works and it is what you meant

Mod: html code removed as it doesn't work on the board, links left in place, and images added directly to the board for reference as above.
