« on: October 02, 2012, 08:56:24 AM »
have been pondering this for a while, I had 4 although one is damaged so assume came as a set -  what would it have been used for?

Turkish coffee? am stuck on this one.

Thats a 10p piece for scale (not much help if you're outside the  UK, sorry)

remnants of gold decoration, ground base, 4cm wide x 4.25 high weighs 35g

cheers

Could it be a custard cup?

It is for Schnaps - nothing voluminous or things with eggs (brrr).  It is Czech or German. Christine yours is French for certain, by Portieux.
