Mdina Birds?
«

A lovely group of two sitting birds in what looks like a typical Mdina cased glass, 4.5" long, 3" high - take a look at the marks to base - I have some doubts it says Mdina - could be wrong and its just the way they have been signed - mmm.
Thanks Adam

As thought, these are indeed Mdina, some of the scripting can be a little difficult to read sometimes. I think these pieces are relatively recent in date, perhaps 80s/90s I would presume.

Thanks Greg - searched a bit and found similar on eBay - nice but not uncommon.

Your welcome, its hard to believe these read Mdina sometimes! Quite a few of these later pieces have almost unfathomable scripting on them.

Greg is right Adam, a lot of sellers think the signature says Molina...but they make borosilicate glass bongs for smoking hash!!
This is a lovely pair of Mdina Lovebirds, and if described as that, usually sell well, especially around Valentine's time.

Thanks Rosie. I like this style of Mdina and have a few bits it will go with. Same dealer has some lovely Mdina (tall bottles and perfumes) I must see if he will let me photo them, he is a very nice man.
