Boda Glass-Lidded Aluminium Pots w/ Engraved Dragons & Snake
« on: September 11, 2012, 12:24:17 PM »
An unusual trio - brushed aluminium pots with bakelite bases, black leather lining and very solid glass lids, two deeply engraved with dragons and the last with a coiled snake. All three bear gold foil Boda labels.

As with my other recent Boda enquiries, they were remaining stock from a glass shop that shut its doors around 1974.

The snake reminds me of Ulrica Hydman-Vallien designs, but I'm not sure I've seen any of her work sold solely under the Boda label.

Any idea of designer, series name, year of design - or even their purpose! - would be much appreciated.
