I am a volunteer Ebay seller for a charity : http://www.furnitureplus.org.uk/

I need some help with the identification of this item

It stands approx. 6 in/15 cm tall by 4.5 in/11.5 cm rim diameter.   The glass is very delicate, and at first I thought it was a shell seated on glass arms.

The base is concave, and  the pontil is smooth but pronounced.

Any help would be very gratefully received.

Hi,

I agree with Keith...  Polish (most probably by Galicjan glassworks) and rather new.  You can find very similar items here:  http://www.galicjan.com/pl/oferta/czarki

Many thanks to you both.   I am convinced, and will be able to attribute the glass correctly when I list it on Ebay.

All best,

kathleenM.
