Lead crystal tear goblet, of Powell interest.
« on: October 15, 2013, 01:58:48 PM »
What Ho! I purchased this at the weekend and it reminded me a bit of Powell stuff.
It is lead crystal and has a flint vertically ribbed bowl.
There are 5 tears running down the side and the tears and foot are in a brown amber colour.
The stem has a bladed merese and the bottom of the foot has been very slightly flatted. Its just over 5 1/2" tall and there is no sign of any type of pontil mark.
Any help with ID is most welcome, cheers Wolfie
