Smoked glass pitcher and tumbler set id please?
« on: September 12, 2012, 09:00:10 AM »
Hi I have a pitcher set which I purchased from an antique fair. It is in a light brown or cinnamon coloured glass and has 6 matching glasses. The pitcher has a ground and polished pontil but the glasses do not. The glasses are very fine and thin glass but I'm sure its from the same set, they were all purchased together and they are all of the same colour glass. There are a few glass tumbler sets on ebay and some internet sites which apart from the colour, look the same as mine and are descibed as Tapio Wirkkala Iittala glass.  Can anyone help me id this glass please?
Thanks
Chris :D

Probably Polish. These are quite common, no maker known to my knowledge, though.
