Scalloped Striped Vase
« on: September 06, 2012, 11:53:17 PM »
Hi,  Can anyone I.D this vase please,  The vase is opalescent with a scalloped rim and inverted pattern design.  Air pockets within handles, base and vase area.  The vase measures approx. 7.7cm in height.  Base rim 4.8cm and snapped off pontil area approx. 2cm dia.  I have tried researching this vase but the ones I've managed to view (Caffco), do not look the same and certainly not with that type of pattern design.  Any help with I.D, appreciated in anticipation.

Sorry, but it is definitely Chinese. It is one of the more common contemporary vases.

They also come in other colours and slightly different styles. Every "antique" centre seems to have at least one

I  can certainly see why they do end up in antique centres.  They do have that appeal.  It seems from your comments that these are obviously mass produced.  Anyway, thanks Leni and Christine, appreciated!! :)
