Angela love this bowl! There is another thread on what appears to be the same bowl, there are comments from 2 people that say it has Czechoslovakia stamped around the legs but it has been ID'd as Bernsdorf a German maker, so I am unconvinced.

Is yours stamped? What are the measurements? The bowl in the other thread is said to be 21cm diameter and 9cm tall. Can you add a pic of the underside and pics here of your lovely shallow version including the underside? I have a theory about the maker, assuming the maker of the tortoiseshell pattern was exclusive and also made the Dressing Table Set with the same tortoiseshell pattern we could be on to something. :)

Here are the pictures of the underneath. None of my items have any marks on them unfortunately... The bowl measures 12.5cms x 5.5cms and the shallow plate measures 15.5cms x 3cms  :)

Jayne....strange coincidence at work here..... while trawling through the 1958 Hermanova Catalogue on the Sklo CD to find the catalogue numbers for these candlesticks, I found dishes on page 12 pattern nos 19484 and 19356 that look like our Cress dishes and then I found a vase on page 9 pattern 18781 that is the same pattern as my amber mottled pattern dish we were discussing earlier. Still can't find where I found the candlesticks from though?

Excellent find! Putting aside the tortoiseshell pattern for a moment;

The pattern number 18781 Stolzle : Hermanova Hut design from the Sklo Union CD certainly looks very much like a variant to your bowl. It even shows the stippling.

I am going to upload separately my own Bobble Bowl similar to yours Angela, as I feel they are important bowls to add to the research.
