Size is 3.5" across and 3" high does make it a magnum?
To Esmond Wright 23/3/90 Selkirk glass Scotland.
Can anyone tell me if it would be an everyday weight or maybe a commissioned piece.

Do anyone know if the 1990 catalogue is available on line?
Searched a lot of images and cannot find anything similar. I believe it's a rather a nice one off commissioned weight anyone agree / disagree ?
Any thoughts welcome Chris

skiando has put many scans of Selkirk catalogues online - are a bit cumbersome to search for a specific weight.

I am right now in the process of compiling images for the Selkirk catalogue on Scotland's Glass - have scanned all Selkirk (printed) catalogues for that purpose: cannot find your weight - it is definitely not in the 1990 catalogue.

Consequently most likely made in small numbers only, possibly a one-off, and as it doesn't show up in catalogues I would be very pleased if I were allowed to use your image ... even better, if you could also supply me with a few additional views, including the base.

Hi Wuff, of course the photo's are available to use I have been waiting years for this moment  ;D
I will post a permanent photo of the base in the thread in a moment, can you grab them from here, did you click on the Picasa link? more photos there including a couple of base shot's if you want to take them from there.
If this is not suitable let me know and I will mail them to you.
I spoke to Peter (Holmes) and he confirmed he made the the weight to the customers specification regarding pattern and colours "This piece really is a one off"
