my duffers of the week :)
« on: October 05, 2012, 09:32:50 AM »
hi board.
i picked these up yesterday with a nice perthshire too but thought id share these 2 as they are my 1st p/ws from w/f.(i think im sure with date canes for 1978)i cant believe how nice they are,the work in the canes is stunning.i know to most of the w/f collectors and specialists they might just be standard for w/f but im really really pleased with them and at £130 for the 3 that must be reasonable although i know value is second place on the board.just thought i would share them cause im so pleased.:)
thankyou too for all the efforts on my other duffer.richard moore has been in touch and the research is on going although at the mo were saying its not strathearn although that may change as it shows alot of similarities.as to origin its still a blank as yet.happy hunting.......

WELL DONE Bigbri!!,
I can only see two paperweights in your posted pics BUT the first is a nice P25 and much sought after, worth £200+ any day. The second is a P13 finger cut cylinder and is less regarded but still worth around £70.

All the best,

Tony

hi tony.
i only pictured the w/f examples but ill be ading the perthshire tom as i cant find it on the online reference but that might just be my ignorance......
as to the w/fs listed the quality of the P25 is just amazing and although you say the taller P13 isnt as sought after its still a beautiful thing.
these are my 1st but not my last i will be hunting hard for more so watch my duffer listings. :)
as always happy hunting....
