Scandinavian? Red Cased Vase - Help ID Please...
« on: January 30, 2013, 03:32:00 PM »
Hi Guys,

Can anyone help ID this Scandinavian style vase please? I thought perhaps Riihimaki but its not on the designlasi site nor anywhere else, so far as I've found.

TIA, Charlene :)

Came across one of these at an antiques fair a year ago and the dealer thought it was by Iittala. While there is one with a similar sort of shape made by Iittala, I don't think they made it in red.
However, by chance, today I came across a similarly shaped vase made by a relatively new glass company called Svaja. I think it's one of theirs.

Svaja is a designer not a manufacturer http://www.svaja.com/

Svaja is a designer not a manufacturer http://www.svaja.com/

It's listed in their catalogue so someone must have made it.

Yes  ::) but not Svaja; it will be made under contract to Svaja's design
