Monart uplighter shade 19

The first two photos below are from the Monart Lighting catalogue showing shade 19 which was used as an up lighter (shown in photo 3).
I am trying to decipher the writting on the bottom of photo 2. So far it reads (I think) .

Was Monart crystal?
Just wondering if it might indicate crystal (clear) first then in 234
Would they have written such a thing really?
