Art Deco opalescent goat on rocks
« on: October 06, 2012, 06:02:49 PM »
Hello
I found this wonderful Art Deco thick opalescent figure yesterday. It is a sort of mountain goat perched on top of stylised rocks.
The opalescence is very thick.I cannot find any signiture anywhere on the glass. There does look to be residue under base from a sticker?
Looks very Sabino in style but not sure.
If anyone has any clues I would be really grateful.
Many thanks Nigel

Hi Rose
Thanks for looking out.
A friend of mine today suggested this could be of Bohemian origin? He suggested maybe Reich judging by the look of the opalescence.
He seemed to think that the goat study could be European but not French.
The opalescence does have a look of Reich I just wish there were more catalogues of the 30s of Reich glass.I only have 1934 catalogue.
